I love to create images through painting ๐ŸŽจ, drawing โœ๏ธ and embroidery ๐Ÿงต as well as through styling and art direction. My aesthetic is maximalist, blending both old and new, found and created.

Visual Art

๐ŸŒธ archibald prize project.

Across the past two years, my friend Lexi Keelan and I have been entering the Archibald Portrait Prize. You can read more about our experience in 2024 here, and in 2025 here.

In 2024, my self-portrait was exhibited as part of Kaleidoscope III at Belco Arts, a collection of art celebrating LGBTIAQ+ pride.

๐ŸŒธ creative journal challenge.

Each year, Craft + Design Canberra run a creative journal challenge offering participants a different prompt each day to respond to in any creative medium.

In 2024, I decided to make my responses in a sweet little Japanese journal I had bought. I used ink pen to create each background and water colour and gouache to create little tarot inspired cards. Images from this challenge are left and centre below.

In 2022, I worked within a journal provided to participants and experimented with a range of mediums. Images from this challenge are on the right.

๐ŸŒธ kaleidescope.

Kaleidoscope is an open exhibition at Belco Arts where LGBTQIA+ artists in Canberra and Australia-wide can express their experiences of queerness, sexuality, gender, and unique individuality through art.

In 2024, my self portrait created for the Archibald Portrait Prize was displayed as part of the exhibition.

๐ŸŒธ squares.

Open to young or old, professional or hobbyist, abstract or surrealist, and every artist in between, Squares is Strathnairn Artsโ€™ annual community art competition.

Both my friend Lexi and I entered artworks in the 2025 exhibition which you can see below.

Styling and Set design.

For many years, I worked creatively as a stylist and set designer. The images I am interested in crafting are rich with detail, drawing on varied historical references.
